It was a joy to be this family’s Edmonton and St. Albert Newborn Photographer! They were referred to me by another client who came to me for newborn photos as well!

This beautiful baby boy was such a dream to photograph! He was fairly tiny as they were able to schedule their session around the ten-day mark from when he was born. He was so sleepy and had the best head of hair! He also had the best little pouty lips and long eyelashes.

I absolutely love the colours mom requested for the session. Neutrals are my all-time favourite choice as they are timeless and bring out babies’ perfect skin tones. Grey was the second choice which is such a nice pairing with the soft creams. It looks rich and makes babies skin pop. Cream and grey go beautifully together and are both earthy neutrals that fit into any style of home, especially when made into wall art! The rich woods used with the barn boards along with several antique wooden props lent for the perfect styled timeless session for this family.

I love all of the props that I have collected over the years. Each one has been carefully selected from around the world to add that gorgeous touch to each photo they are used in. I take pride in only providing the best for my clients. Whether it’s the props that are used or the clothing provided from the Studio’s wardrobe collection.

This baby photo is my favourite from the gallery. Look at that gorgeous smile! This image really focuses on his sweet face. It is surprising how quickly they grow and change. Sleeping babies really are the best! Mom requested that I add some stars to complete this amazing shot. Both images with and without the stars were provided to Mom for their gallery!

You can feel the love that this family shares. Big Brother and Sister were both over the moon with their new little Brother. Sibling shots are so important to capture. It is a lifelong bond that they will always have. For most of my clients, sibling images are the most cherished in the gallery. Having two boys of my own… I completely understand.

Parent photos are my favourite part of every newborn session. They show the pure joy that parents feel as they snuggle and look upon their new Baby. The connection and love that is felt is undeniable. Each parent should take them. This time goes by so quickly and then it’s gone.

Newborn photography is one of those jobs that doesn’t feel like a job. … for me it is a passion.  I love what I do!  Sessions are never rushed and parents are always made to feel comfortable.  At Michelle Sadee Photography it is not only about amazing pictures that will be adored for years to come… it’s also about the photography experience as a whole.

I love working with beautiful Babies who are only a couple of days or weeks old.  Parents are often sleep-deprived however excited and have looked forward and dreamed about having their newborn photographed.  Preserving and capturing these fast-moving first days is crucial.

Nyla’s family came to me when she was a couple of weeks old.  She was this family’s first baby.  During the consultation, the family decided that they wanted beautiful timeless neutrals with florals for their baby’s newborn photo shoot.  Nyla was awake on and off during the session.  We took time to soothe her as well as feed her when needed.

I started with some shots in the studio’s bay window using natural light where baby Nyla was awake.  Her expressions were priceless.  I was able to get some amazing shots where she was making eye contact.

Next, we transitioned to some props using studio light.  At this point through some patience and gentle posing, we were able to capture some incredible images using props that will be wall art in this beautiful family home.

I hope that you enjoy some of the images that I chose from this gallery as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

I love twin sessions. My goal is to photograph the babies together that as how they have been in the womb for the last ten months, as well as to capture the babies separately as they are each their own little people. Parents love to look at their babies and compare the similarities as well as their differences! These two sisters were very different yet uniquely perfect!

These two Peanuts were sleepy and oh so beautiful. I was able to get lots of amazing shots. Although this family wanted images of their babies together and separate they also wanted to capture their family as a whole. I always encourage moms and dads to get into the frame. This is such a special time that passes in a blink of an eye. It is so important to capture these memories. One day these sisters will have these images to look back upon and maybe show their own families. What an amazing keepsake.

These two babies couldn’t have better parents who love them more. I give all the praise in the world to twin parents. It’s not easy navigating one new baby. (I know I’ve been there…. never mind two.) But it’s so worth it!

I’ve selected several of my favorite images from this session to share with you. I choose props from some of my all-time fave prop vendors. The bed is from Rozzi Rayne studio props, the halos are from a Pocket full of Petals, and the wraps from Sugar Baby Photo Props. All my sessions are customized and I prefer timeless feminine setups for girls that complement each baby.

I hope that you enjoy their gallery!

Alberta Maternity Photography Session

I absolutely love maternity photography sessions. From the excitement that I can hear in my client’s voices during the customized consultation, to the minute they arrive at the studio. Maternity sessions with Michelle Sadee Photography are not only about the final stunning images, it is about the experience as a whole.

This gorgeous Maternity Client contacted me after I had photographed her beautiful sister and husband last year for their maternity session. Their gallery turned out stunning. What a wonderful keepsake to look back on. Pregnancy is such a special and fleeting time.

This session that you see today was relaxed and fun. We always customize with the client’s vision in mind. The final images captured at my private St. Albert in-home studio are nothing short of amazing!

I am looking forward to soon meeting the rest of this family when they attend the studio for their newborn session. I hope that you enjoy the images as much as I do.

Edmonton Newborn Baby Photographer

This newborn session by Edmonton Newborn Photographer Michelle Sadee is timeless, rich, and beautiful.

This little lady is the newest addition to this lucky family.  Having a family with three girls is bound to be a busy one! :).  Just look at those little cheeks! Don’t you just want to squeeze them? I love incorporating florals into my sessions.  They add so much dimension to the shot.  I first met this family a few years ago when they came to me with their second daughter.  I was so excited to have them come back.  Seeing how the girls have grown is such a joy.

Little Fern was such a dream to work with.  Look at that perfect pout, those tiny hands, and her little nose.  She is such a perfect baby.  I see all the babies that come into the studio as perfect babies.  Some just need a little extra time to get those perfect shots.  The newborn session never gets old.  I feel blessed and very fortunate to be able to capture these perfect moments and share them with families.  The creativity and time preparing for each session are very important to me.

I love gazing over and seeing the look on my parents’ faces as they watch me work.   The session is not only about the images that are later delivered, it is also about the whole experience while in the studio.  I want every client to look back and think,….. “Wow, that was an amazing experience.”   The beautiful Mama gave me full creative control so I was able to incorporate some beautiful yellows and rich purples into the session.  I love how the images turned out and so do my clients.  I hope that you enjoy viewing them. 🙂

I first met this amazing Family when they came to me for Christmas Minis in 2019! The Families two sweet boys were a ball of energy which made the session so much fun!  So when the mom, Jenny called me in the spring to let me know they were having another baby and wanted to book in for a newborn session I was really excited. I love seeing my clients back in the studio. It makes me feel so good to know that they love their photos and trust in me to capture their most special moments.

Baby Nicholas was born a couple of months before Christmas which was perfect timing! We were able to do the newborn session and then shortly after, the Christmas Minis!  I hope you enjoy the images of this perfect family who welcomed sweet baby boy #3!  If you are interested in planning a professional Edmonton newborn portrait session, contact me today for more information.

Edmonton Newborn Portrait Studio Update from Michelle Sadee Photography

Well, it’s been a while since I have blogged!  Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected… With 2020 coming in like a lion it has been a trying time for everyone.  I can truly say that I am thankful for the support of family, friends, and wonderful clients.   We will get through this time together and come out stronger.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the studio is deep cleaned after every session with hospital-grade sanitary wipes.  All fabrics are washed thoroughly after every use and hand sanitizer and masks are mandatory while in the studio.  The safety of my clients, as well as my own family, is of the utmost importance.

Newborn photography is a service that is so important to many.  I feel blessed to be able to still do what I love in a safe and healthy environment.

The MacPhail family came to me after having their second son.  Mom and Dad are both professionals who traveled in to document their beautiful family.  I was more than happy to host their session in my beautiful private in-home St. Albert studio.

I hope that you enjoy the captures of this beautiful family.  Baby E was 5 lbs of snuggly perfection.

If you expecting a little one… or want to capture your newborn baby’s milestones, contact me today to learn more about the custom portrait services offered in Edmonton and the surrounding areas now.

When this stunning Mama contacted me for her maternity session/milk bath I was super excited as I had previously done their last son’s newborn session and had seen their family during the holidays for Christmas mini’s.  This will be my Client’s third child and I am super excited for them.    I always love it when I get to see repeat clients.

Liane’s maternity session was relaxed and so much fun.  We played with some different luxurious silks that I have in the studio as well as numerous beautiful gowns.  The backdrops that you see in use were custom-ordered hand-painted canvas drops from an artist in New York.   I was pumped to finally receive them and put them to use!  The milk bath portion of the session was so beautiful with fresh flowers in the tub and beautiful soft window light.  Liane chose a bodysuit from the studio wardrobe instead of one of my lace gowns which fit her beautifully, showing off her perfect baby bump.

I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did creating them.  I’m looking forward to meeting this family’s new baby when he/she arrives!

Maternity Photography St. Albert

This gorgeous Mama-to-be contacted me for her maternity session.  I had my makeup artist on location to complete her look before we got started in the studio.  We had a pre-consult, so I had a good idea of her vision which I think we nailed.

The session was fun, relaxed, and an experience that my client said that she will remember forever.   In the end, we were able to capture some stunning images for my client to cherish this incredible time in her life.

I hope that you enjoy the images of this beautiful woman as much as I did capturing and creating them.

This wonderful family came to me after they were given a gift card for a Classic Session from their Employer.

When they walked into the studio I could immediately tell that we were going to have a fun and fabulous session. Mom was excited and little Miss A… well gorgeous. I took one look at her eyelashes and beautiful face and I couldn’t stop swooning. She had a perfectly round little head and beautiful almond-shaped eyes. Gahhhh.

During the phone consult with Mom, she had mentioned that she wanted soft neutral tones and possibly some earth tones, however would leave it up to me with my creative eye. I always love it when moms give me free rein as then, I create unique setups!

This session was no exception. I worked in some green earthy tones as well as some neutrals along with some grey blues. Mom chose a FillyBoo boho-style blush gown from my studio wardrobe which is one of my favourites.

I hope that you enjoy the gallery.
