What to Bring to Your Edmonton Newborn Photography Session: A Complete Checklist
Preparing for Your Newborn Portrait Experience
A newborn session is special — a pause button on the busyness of life that lets you focus on your newest family member. At my St. Albert studio, I provide gowns, wraps, and props so you don’t have to stress over the little things. But there are a few essentials you can bring to make everything run smoothly.
My Newborn Session Essentials List
Here’s what I recommend bringing along to keep your baby cozy and the session relaxed:
- Diapers and Wipes: Babies have their own timing, and frequent changes are normal.
- Feeding Supplies: Whether breastfeeding or bottles, have whatever your baby needs at hand.
- Comfort Items: Favorite blankets or pacifiers can soothe baby easily.
- Extra Clothes: For your baby, and maybe even siblings — sessions can get a bit messy.
- Snacks and Drinks: Keep everyone energized, especially parents!
- Burp Cloths: Always handy during feeding or cuddles.
- Personal Wraps or Swaddles: If you have any favorites, bringing them is welcome though I provide plenty.
- Patience and Warmth: The best things to bring — newborns set their own pace, and calm makes all the difference.
Your Session, Your Pace
Every session moves at your baby’s rhythm. I’ll guide you the whole way while helping you feel at ease. We’ll capture these precious early moments in a way that feels natural, beautiful, and just right for your family.
