Newborn Photography Session

I not only had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family for this pretty Mama’s classic maternity session but also when the family came back after their new perfect baby boy arrived.

Meet Baby A. who is 4 days old in these images. The family arrived and they were giddy with excitement! We started off with big sister and brother holding their new brother before moving into family images, and then dad with the baby. At that time dad took big bro and sis out for some trampoline fun while mom and I captured some gorgeous relaxed images with her and the baby.

After the images of Mom were finished, she was able to have a nap on my comfy feather-filled couch while I continued the session with the baby. This little guy who was 41 weeks when he was born was an absolute delight. He loved being swaddled tight, which is why most of the images are in cozy wraps…. which shows off his perfect little features.

This beautiful family contacted me early in their pregnancy excited about the details of their baby’s session. They had asked me if I would mind having their fur baby Nala included in the images. Being a pet owner myself with two dogs of our own I replied of course that would be wonderful, I would love to have her in the studio.

Little Miss M. and her big brother Mr. J were way too cute. The sibling shots took a while to organize but once I got them they were perfect.

With Miss M. being 20 days new I was a bit concerned that she may not fall into all of the poses or be quite as sleepy but with some extra snuggle and feeding time with Mom, the session was a huge success.

The gallery turned out beautifully and best of all I got to spend the afternoon with some pretty amazing people who have so much love to give to all of their babies. Maternity Session ~ Soon To Be Mom of 3

I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful mom of two… soon to be three for an amazing Maternity Session.

Our session started with my client wanting to take some pictures with her sweet little girl. We kept the beginning of the shoot natural with lots of cuddles, tickles, and giggles. I am so happy with the images that we captured as they are timeless and portray emotion and a tender connection between mom and daughter. They will be something that this mom with have forever and will someday pass on to her daughter to cherish.

After Dad came and scooped up little Miss T, Mom and I had some time to take the session at a relaxed pace and get some amazing shots. My client wanted to keep a portion of the session pretty casual …. so we chose jeans on a darker backdrop which is completely my style. I always love it when moms pick what I would pick. It makes me even more excited to see the maternity photoshoot come together.

I love getting to know a bit about each of my clients when we spend the day together. Whether they want timeless maternity images because they are celebrating their first baby or want to hold on to the memories knowing that this is going to be their last pregnancy, there is a purpose and a story that I love hearing. I have had every mom mention that the shoot was so much fun, and comfortable and that they felt glamorous. That tells me that I am doing something right which makes me happy.

Milestone Session for Little Mr. A.

This milestone session was so much fun! Little Mr. A. smiled for us nonstop. When my clients walked in with their son….. I was blown away by how darn cute he was. Oh my goodness!

We started with some fantastic shots on the 100-year-old barn wood backdrop that I have in some adorable outfits from my extensive wardrobe collection. Next, we moved into the larger studio space where I had a magical woodland cake smash theme ready to go.

The parents and I laughed and watched as he eventually decided to try his cake and stick his feet into it. Was cute to watch. We got some great pictures that mom loved.

After the cake smash, I prepared a Cheerio milk bath set up where Mr. A. had a blast splashing and playing while I captured more timeless images of their little man.

Elegant Maternity Session for this Beautiful Mama Expecting Her First Baby Girl

I love shooting maternity sessions. I get just as excited as my clients when we get to play dress up in my studio’s amazing gowns, robes, silk drapes, and bodysuits. Each mother’s style is unique however I have plenty of selections to suit pretty much any style. Maternity sessions bring me back to when I was pregnant with my boys and the feeling of excitement and anticipation that I experienced. I recently had the pleasure of photographing Miss E and her beautiful sister Miss B. It is an honor for me when clients pick me as their newborn photographer and I really enjoy meeting everyone who comes into my studio. I first communicated with this family many months back when they first became pregnant and booked their session.

When the family walked into my studio and I saw their baby for the first time I was in awe. She had the most perfect features and beautiful skin. Her big sister B. was cute as a button which made my job photographing them pretty easy.

The colours and setups that the mom chose complimented the baby’s skin perfectly and I love how this session turned out. I especially love the vintage sage setup that she chose. Twin Girls | Edmonton Newborn Baby Photography

As an Edmonton newborn photographer, I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to photograph some beautiful babies and these two identical twins were no exception. Their parents had booked with me long before their arrival which I recommend for all my clients to do as I have limited availability.

These two beautiful girls arrived on time however ended up spending some time in the children’s hospital shortly after their arrival. When they were released I was lucky enough to photograph them at 6 weeks and they were a dream for the session. I was able to get some gorgeous images of both of them together as well as separately while their mom alternated feeding and snuggling them. The session was relaxing and so much fun. Mom picked some beautiful pink and cream tones as well as some mauve. I hope that you enjoy the images as much as I did capturing them. As a newborn and maternity photographer in Edmonton, I love to capture the gorgeous glow of expecting mothers. I am fortunate to have my beautiful studio in my home which enables me to offer elegant milk bath sessions as part of my services. Each session is unique and specifically tailored to my client’s vision.

I prefer the softer ivory with blush and peach stems accented with greenery for a softer look however each session is slightly different. The sessions are very relaxed allowing for my clients to sit back and enjoy. It is my goal to make each mother feel beautiful and comfortable while taking amazing pictures.

A makeup artist, as well as a hair technician, can also be included in the experience while at the portrait studio. I highly recommend hair and makeup to complete the vision.

Custom Newborn Baby Photography In Edmonton, Alberta

One of the little extras I like to do for my clients as a surprise for the gallery is to include a couple of composite newborn images. It is something that I enjoy seeing come together. It takes a bit of preparation with the wardrobe, digital backdrop, lighting and finally positioning and posing of the baby.. but in the end, it is worth the time! I enjoy seeing the look on parents’ faces or receiving text messages when parents are blown away by the final images of their babies. Plus it is relaxing for me sitting in front of my computer with a glass of wine and creating.
