Baby Nicholas – Professional Edmonton Newborn Portrait Session

I first met this amazing Family when they came to me for Christmas Minis in 2019! The Families two sweet boys were a ball of energy which made the session so much fun! So when the mom, Jenny called me in the spring to let me know they were having another baby and wanted to book in for a newborn session I was really excited. I love seeing my clients back in the studio. It makes me feel so good to know that they love their photos and trust in me to capture their most special moments.

Baby Nicholas was born a couple of months before Christmas which was perfect timing! We were able to do the newborn session and then shortly after, the Christmas Minis! Well, it’s been a while since I have blogged! Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected… With 2020 coming in like a lion it has been a trying time for everyone. I can truly say that I am thankful for the support of family, friends, and wonderful clients. We will get through this time together and come out stronger.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the studio is deep cleaned after every session with hospital-grade sanitary wipes. All fabrics are washed thoroughly after every use and hand sanitizer and masks are mandatory while in the studio. The safety of my clients, as well as my own family, is of the utmost importance.

Newborn photography is a service that is so important to many. I feel blessed to be able to still do what I love in a safe and healthy environment.

The MacPhail family came to me after having their second son. Mom and Dad are both professionals who traveled in to document their beautiful family. I was more than happy to host their session in my beautiful private in-home St. Albert studio.

Maternity Session with this Stunning Mama

When this stunning Mama contacted me for her maternity session/milk bath I was super excited as I had previously done their last son’s newborn session and had seen their family during the holidays for Christmas mini’s. This will be my Client’s third child and I am super excited for them. I always love it when I get to see repeat clients.

Liane’s maternity session was relaxed and so much fun. We played with some different luxurious silks that I have in the studio as well as numerous beautiful gowns. The backdrops that you see in use were custom-ordered hand-painted canvas drops from an artist in New York. I was pumped to finally receive them and put them to use! The milk bath portion of the session was so beautiful with fresh flowers in the tub and beautiful soft window light. Liane chose a bodysuit from the studio wardrobe instead of one of my lace gowns which fit her beautifully, showing off her perfect baby bump.

Maternity Photography St. Albert

This gorgeous Mama-to-be contacted me for her maternity session. I had my makeup artist on location to complete her look before we got started in the studio. We had a pre-consult, so I had a good idea of her vision which I think we nailed.

The session was fun, relaxed, and an experience that my client said that she will remember forever. In the end, we were able to capture some stunning images for my client to cherish this incredible time in her life.

Gorgeous Baby Girl. Little Miss A and Family.

This wonderful family came to me after they were given a gift card for a Classic Session from their Employer.

When they walked into the studio I could immediately tell that we were going to have a fun and fabulous session. Mom was excited and little Miss A… well gorgeous. I took one look at her eyelashes and beautiful face and I couldn’t stop swooning. She had a perfectly round little head and beautiful almond-shaped eyes. Gahhhh.

During the phone consult with Mom, she had mentioned that she wanted soft neutral tones and possibly some earth tones, however would leave it up to me with my creative eye. I always love it when moms give me free rein as then, I create unique setups!

This session was no exception. I worked in some green earthy tones as well as some neutrals along with some grey blues. Mom chose a FillyBoo boho-style blush gown from my studio wardrobe which is one of my favourites.

Gorgeous Baby Boy A | Newborn Photography Session

Newborn Photography Session

I not only had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family for this pretty Mama’s classic maternity session but also when the family came back after their new perfect baby boy arrived.

Meet Baby A. who is 4 days old in these images. The family arrived and they were giddy with excitement! We started off with big sister and brother holding their new brother before moving into family images, and then dad with the baby. At that time dad took big bro and sis out for some trampoline fun while mom and I captured some gorgeous relaxed images with her and the baby.

After the images of Mom were finished, she was able to have a nap on my comfy feather-filled couch while I continued the session with the baby. This little guy who was 41 weeks when he was born was an absolute delight. He loved being swaddled tight, which is why most of the images are in cozy wraps…. which shows off his perfect little features.

This beautiful family contacted me early in their pregnancy excited about the details of their baby’s session. They had asked me if I would mind having their fur baby Nala included in the images. Being a pet owner myself with two dogs of our own I replied of course that would be wonderful, I would love to have her in the studio.

Little Miss M. and her big brother Mr. J were way too cute. The sibling shots took a while to organize but once I got them they were perfect.

With Miss M. being 20 days new I was a bit concerned that she may not fall into all of the poses or be quite as sleepy but with some extra snuggle and feeding time with Mom, the session was a huge success.

The gallery turned out beautifully and best of all I got to spend the afternoon with some pretty amazing people who have so much love to give to all of their babies. Maternity Session ~ Soon To Be Mom of 3

I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful mom of two… soon to be three for an amazing Maternity Session.

Our session started with my client wanting to take some pictures with her sweet little girl. We kept the beginning of the shoot natural with lots of cuddles, tickles, and giggles. I am so happy with the images that we captured as they are timeless and portray emotion and a tender connection between mom and daughter. They will be something that this mom with have forever and will someday pass on to her daughter to cherish.

After Dad came and scooped up little Miss T, Mom and I had some time to take the session at a relaxed pace and get some amazing shots. My client wanted to keep a portion of the session pretty casual …. so we chose jeans on a darker backdrop which is completely my style. I always love it when moms pick what I would pick. It makes me even more excited to see the maternity photoshoot come together.

I love getting to know a bit about each of my clients when we spend the day together. Whether they want timeless maternity images because they are celebrating their first baby or want to hold on to the memories knowing that this is going to be their last pregnancy, there is a purpose and a story that I love hearing. I have had every mom mention that the shoot was so much fun, and comfortable and that they felt glamorous. That tells me that I am doing something right which makes me happy.

Milestone Session for Little Mr. A.

This milestone session was so much fun! Little Mr. A. smiled for us nonstop. When my clients walked in with their son….. I was blown away by how darn cute he was. Oh my goodness!

We started with some fantastic shots on the 100-year-old barn wood backdrop that I have in some adorable outfits from my extensive wardrobe collection. Next, we moved into the larger studio space where I had a magical woodland cake smash theme ready to go.

The parents and I laughed and watched as he eventually decided to try his cake and stick his feet into it. Was cute to watch. We got some great pictures that mom loved.

After the cake smash, I prepared a Cheerio milk bath set up where Mr. A. had a blast splashing and playing while I captured more timeless images of their little man.
